MBBS: Cairo University 1992, Distinction with Honors. Ranked THIRD among a 1500 candidate class.
Internship: Cairo University Hospital March 1993-March 1994.
Resident of Ophthalmology : Department of Ophthalmology, Cairo University for a three year residency program from March 1994 till 1997.
Completed a three part MSc degree in Clinical Ophthalmology from Cairo University in November 1996 ( Awarded a Distinction grade).
Appointed Associate Lecturer of Ophthalmology, Department of Ophthalmology, Cairo University in March 1997.
Spent a One Year Fellowship program in Refractive Surgery at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Alicante, Spain, working under Professor Jorge Alio, the renouned International Refractive Surgeon from May 1997 to May 1998.
Performed a Doctorate thesis titled “ A comparison between Hexagonal keratotomy, Holmium YAG thermokeratoplasty and LASIK in the treatment of Hyperopia” in Universidad De Alicante, Spain.
Passed and Awarded the FRCS degree from the ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS OF EDINGBURGH after passing a three part exam in May 1998.
Offered and accepted a Job as a Specialist Registrar of Ophthalmology, Princess Alexandra Eye Pavillion, University of Edingburgh from July 1998 till July 1999.
Defended the Doctorate thesis with success in May 1999.
Returned to Egypt and sat the Final MD doctorate degree exam in November 1999.
Awarded the MD degree in Clinical Ophthalmology from Cairo University in November 1999.
Appointed Lecturer of Ophthalmology, Cairo University in April 2000.
Appointed Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Cairo University May 2005.
Appointed a Full Professor of Ophthalmology, Cairo University, May 2010 until present.
Works as a consultant of Refractive and anterior segment surgery in EL NOOR and DAR EL OYOON eye hospitals, Cairo, Egypt.
Fully licensed Consultant Ophthalmologist in The Egyptian Ministry of Health since 2003.
Licensed as a Consultant ophthalmologist in the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health since 2005.
